99compress.com (“99compress”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides browser-based tools to compress, resize, and convert images/PDFs. Our tools run locally in your browser using WebAssembly/JavaScript, and your files are not uploaded to our servers unless we explicitly say so for a future feature.

1) What we (don’t) collect

• File contents: Processed entirely in your browser. We do not store or transmit your files to our servers.
• Usage data: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure anonymous usage (pages viewed, device type, approximate location, etc.). GA4 may set cookies or use similar technologies.
• Advertising data: We use Google AdSense to show ads. AdSense may use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, and (where permitted) personalization.
• Network/edge logs: Our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) may log IP address and basic request metadata to operate and secure the service. We do not combine these logs to identify you.

2) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies/localStorage for:

• Analytics: GA4 usage measurement.
• Ads: AdSense ad delivery/measurement and, where applicable, personalization.
• UX: Remembering consent choices and “recently used tools”.

3) Google AdSense

We partner with Google to show ads. Google may use cookies and data to deliver, maintain, and improve services; measure ad performance; and, where permitted, personalize ads. You can review Google’s policies here:

4) Consent (EEA/UK)

For visitors in the EEA/UK, we request consent for analytics and ads (including personalized ads where supported). You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in our footer (or clear your browser storage and reload).

• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and essential operations.

6) CCPA/CPRA (California)

California residents may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of the “sale”/“sharing” of personal information (as defined by law). For ad preferences, use Google’s Ad Settings or your browser’s Do Not Track/Global Privacy Control where available.

7) Data retention

We do not retain your uploaded files. Analytics and ad data are retained by their respective providers per their standard policies. We keep only the minimal operational logs needed to secure and operate the service.

8) Children’s privacy

99compress is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

9) International transfers

Service and analytics/ads providers may process data globally. Appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) are used where required.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our service or laws. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be announced on the site.
